Rebecca Wilkinson brings more than 25 years of HR expertise across sectors including automotive, manufacturing, healthcare IT, education, and not-for-profit. As Owl Insight HR’s Senior HR Consultant and Operations Manager, she specializes in employment legislation, HR compliance, total rewards, and leadership development, with a particular focus on supporting small businesses and mission-driven organizations.

With a background in adult education and a reputation as  a subject matter expert on performance management in the Ontario college system, Rebecca is passionate about making HR both accessible and effective. Her approach is grounded in fairness, legal clarity, and real-world insight—whether she’s helping a leader navigate complex employee issues or designing equitable, human-centered workplace practices.

Rebecca holds a BA from the University of Waterloo, HR credentials from Seneca College and McMaster University, and a Master of Arts from Central Michigan University. She has earned both the CHRP and CHRL designations and continues to teach HR at McMaster University. Several members of the Owl Insight team were once her students.

Rebecca believes that leaders are allowed to be human too, and that the best HR practices reflect this. She’s committed to helping clients build legally sound, ethical, and people-positive workplaces.

Fun Fact: Rebecca loves travel and has visited all 33 available Vermeer painting around the world, as well as enjoying knitting and other math-based hobbies.
